The Brando: 35 Bedroom Luxurious Private Island Resort on Tetiaroa Island, French Polynesia

Located on the island atoll of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia, the Brando is a picture-perfect tropical luxury resort. It sits on one of a dozen small islands (called motus) that surround a turquoise three-mile wide lagoon.  The islands are all privately owned and available exclusively to the resort’s guests and visiting researchers. The Brando is an all-inclusive resort, accessible by a 20-minute private plane flight from Tahiti. Accommodations include 35 secluded villas with private pools, overlooking powdery soft white-sand beaches and frequented by sea turtles and exotic birds.

Every villa has its own outdoor dining and private beach area, its own plunge pool, cozy furnishings, large windows and modern conveniences, such as a media room and WiFi. Each villa also has a bicycle for each guest that can be used to explore the paths around the island. An abundance of activities await on the island. Snorkel or dive with tropical fish, swim or sail in the lagoon, paddleboard to a neighbor island, kayak above coral gardens, enjoy a stroll on the beach, enjoy a picnic under a shady palm tree, do a guided or unguided marine, bird, cultural or other excursion, or relax at the spa and wellness center featuring several massage and treatment villas situated around a serene, lily-covered pond.

The resort has two restaurants offering Polynesian-inspired dishes, as well as East/West fusion and classic French cuisine. Fresh vegetables and fruits are grown in the resort’s organic garden. Other resort amenities include a lagoon-view bar, a beach bar near a large infinity pool, a tennis court, boutiques, a library and cultural center and an environmental research station with guest programs.
