April 2010, Shanna Dickerson had been in Nashville, TN, for nine years in the music business producing major concerts, music festivals, and corporate events. She produced the most prominent artists in the world, but she was losing her drive for the music business. So on April 27, 2010, she sold everything, downsized into a couple of boxes & moved to St. John, US Virgin Islands, to start a business. Everyone told her that she was crazy, but it’s good that she doesn’t listen to most people! She went with her intuition. These include landscaping, upgrading decor & bedding, re-tiling and re-plastering the pool, changing the pool over to a salt water system, installing a Bullfrog Jacuzzi and adding additional gym equipment.

Now, on CliffHouse’s curved deck, you can take in the sweeping BVI and USVI views from the comfort of a Bullfrog Jacuzzi. Turn on the massage jets and enjoy peaceful body and mind.

New Gym

This decked-out home gym is equipped with an elliptical, treadmill, multi-station gym machine, adjustable gym bench, dumbbells, barbell and plates, yoga mats, resistance bands, ankle weights, jump rope, medicine balls, balance ball, Perfect Push-Ups, and an ab roller. 

CliffHouse in-house personal trainers can put together a workout routine based on the villa’s equipment in order to support your fitness goals even on vacation.

This is a brand-new villa on St. John that Blue Sky is so excited to share with clients! This is a great option for people who want to stay close to downtown Cruz Bay, but also want a luxury villa with spectacular views.

Luxurious Construction

This villa was newly constructed and no expense was spared from the custom kitchen to surrounding floor-to-ceiling glass windows and hand-woven bamboo ceilings.

Suites and Spaces

This villa has central A/C, fast Wi-Fi, and a smart home system.

All four bedrooms have ocean views, blackout curtains, and en-suite bathrooms with rain showers. The master bedroom also has a private terrace!

The great room has a Smart TV with all streaming apps, Sonos surround sound, dining table for 8, and a cloud sofa.

The chef’s kitchen is equipped with Viking appliances, wine fridge, chilled water filter, and coffee machine.

Outside is the private swimming pool, grill, private water access, and outdoor shower.

Indo House is located just past The Westin on Great Cruz Bay Road. This villa achieves the best of both worlds as it offers all the privacy you would need and is only five minutes out of town.

I stayed here for 3 weeks! I couldn’t help but extend my stay because I loved it so much. The resort has great tennis courts located at the base of The Pitons.

Many villa owners have created new rules that prohibit having the reception and after-party events at the villa. For example, only people staying overnight at the villa can be there. So if it’s a 7-bedroom villa, you can have 14 guests. This won’t be a problem if you have a small wedding!

Also, in low season (about May 1-mid December) there is a five night minimum and high season (Jan 2-end of April) has a seven night minimum. Outside noise must be monitored and usually cannot go past 10pm.

With all this said, there are options for beautiful ceremonies and large receptions! Consider the following venues for a wedding on St. John.

Calichi at Picture Point

At Picture Point, you are able to rent the entire complex. The rooftop deck on The Tower Villa makes the perfect location for a ceremony. How special to exchange your vows on the highest point of St John with 360 degree views of the surrounding islands!

The area can accommodate seating for 30 guests and can be followed up with a poolside reception. This can include cocktails by the pool, a dinner (seated or buffet) in the al fresco dining area and a dance floor and DJ booth.

Estate Lindholm

Situated about a 10-minute walk from downtown Cruz Bay, the adult-only Estate Lindholm offers boutique accommodations on the site of a lovely, 18thcentury Dutch estate. The lush, green landscaping and remnants of the original buildings provide a feeling of elegance, seclusion, and historic charm. All 16 homey, island-style rooms can be rented for your wedding party! Each room has free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, microwaves, and private balconies.

Gallows Point

This resort is well suited for large weddings! Gallows has two lovely venues to choose from with water/sunset views and both can accommodate up to 120 people. Booking a group of 5 or more rooms requires a five night minimum stay and all event catering is provided by their onsite restaurant, Ocean 362.

The Windmill Bar

The Windmill has a beautiful location for the wedding ceremony and reception. Lodging is not on-site, but their wedding team is full-service. If you’d like, they will coordinate transportation, lodging, excursions, hair and makeup, the rehearsal dinner, marriage license + officiant, flowers, photography, food including wedding cake, and entertainment.

The Westin St. John Resort & Villas
